now i know all you wise guys out there will be like ';a free horse for sale?';but please dont mock me and just answer the question.Free ridable horses for sale in new hampshire?
My, my, my. You must've passed charm school with honors, huh? So, let me get this right. You want other people to do your work for you. You want a free horse, but you're not even willing to get up off your **** and do the leg work yourself. I happen to know of a gal that has 20 head, some broke, some ready to start, that she's looking for homes for some of them. But, that said, I'm looking for GOOD homes for them. Judging solely on the charming information you've presented, nope. unh-uh. Ain't gonna happen. But for that matter, they're not actually in New Hampshire either, and you probably wouldn't want to actually put a little effort into driving a few hours to get said ';free'; horse anyway. Go to the east coast race tracks. Put on your best charm, and stroll through the back side and tell the trainers that you ';just want a stupid link for a free horse';. See how far that gets you. While there are probably tons of OTTBs that can be picked up either free or dirt cheap, when people present themselves in such a manner, it's not conducive to a positive result. A little tact and charm can go a long way.Free ridable horses for sale in new hampshire?
That questions kinda confusing- but if your asking if you should buy one of those horses you definitely need to make sure they are healthy and don't have really bad problems- most people don't sell a perfectly good horse for free- since horses cost a lot to take care of, if they sell it, they usually want to get some of that money back. But if the horses seem fine, try them on a lease to make sure before you buy.
You are better off paying $500-1000 for an easy going nothing special trail horse than trying to get one for free. Horses, even ';to a good home';, often have problems if they are for free. If a horse is worth anything at all (ie: is rideable and sane), the owner will try to sell it for money, even at a huge discount. I mean, it does happen, my friend bought a horse for $1 (to symbolize the sale for legal reasons, but for all other intensive purposes ';free), who was a nice 1st lvl dressage TB whose owner had an injury and couldn't ride anymore and didn't want to pay a trainer to get the horse back into shape to sell it. But even then, the horse was 17 years old and low and behold, had intermittened lameness issues throughout his life.
Secondly *puts on lecture hat*, if you can't afford to ';buy'; a horse and need to get it for free, how do you intend to pay for the horse. I know, you might be able to pull of the $XXX per month you're planing on so long as you pay zip for the horse, but want about emergency vet bills then? I had a horse that was ';mine'; (free lease), and the month after i took over his bills and care he had an accident that required stitches and cost $500. it happens. So please be respsonsible when considering that sort of thing! Horses cost a lot of money, so even ';cheap to a good home'; horses have owners that want some form of payment to prove that you are monetarily capable of caring for their horse.
other than that, try looking at rescue groups in the area. Won't be free, but it will be cheap (easily under $500 for a sane, ridable horse)
But what IS the question? You did not phrase it in a question form, no one can understand what you are asking! Are you giving away a free horse in New Hampshire? Are you looking for free horses in New Hampshire?
Either way, Yahoo Answers is not a place to solicitate animals. This is not a classified site, what you are doing is in fact breaking the rules.
Edit: There is no special site that lists all horse that are free for taking. Anyone who would give a horse away just like that would usually sell it to a meat auction at the very least. Or if they care about the horse, they would surrender it to a shelter where it would be adopted out to a good home for a small fee.
