Does anyone know the best place to buy a Gypsy coloured cob for under 拢2,000?Gypsy Coloured horses for sale?
Hi, The best places to look are on the Internet, Horse and Hound, and project horses. examples are:
www.horseandhound.co.uk, www.horsedeals.co.uk, www.stabletalk.co.uk, www.projecthorses.co.uk, www.preloved.co.uk, www.freeads.co.uk
The project horses site however might find something that needs work. Depends on your persons experience
As an alternative, as the budget is quite low, loan or re home from a sanctuary might be a good idea.
The last option is the horse auctions, but you really need to know what you are looking for and should only go for a warrantied horse - stick to your budget! Also be prepared for problems.
If not look in the local tack shops, on their notice boards, often by asking or having a look or even placing an ad, someone would rather their horse go locally than miles away, as happens with the paper or Internet
And remember to get the horse vetted if you are able to (ie not buying at auction), also be prepared to haggle, if you find the right horse at 2250, it might match the budget?Gypsy Coloured horses for sale?
first of all, hi mum! (H1976)
the person we share the pony with bought him from appleby horse fair for 拢80! thats waayy under 2000, but he was in bad condition when they got him, but now hes amazing and he competes at shows and stuff like that.
horse deals magazine is usually quite good for coloured horses, i believe they have web site but dont know address sorry, could just try horse deals,
try this site www. equineonline.net its really good
horse mags put a notice up in your local saddlery shop word and mouth you could try sales but i would not buy from sales unless your experienced and know what to look for, most horses are sold there for a reason eg tendons gone behaviour prombles and other vices
Good luck! as at our recent horse sales the ones that were really selling were the coloured cobs!
I think they are in favour at the moment.
We have one and wouldn't change him for the world!!
Hope your friend is lucky!
try http://www.colouredcontacts.co.uk/ I bought one from there.
Good luck
These horses are called piebalds and skewbalds and Im not sure about where you live, but here in Ireland these horses are being bred and sold for HUGE money!!!!!
I think the best place you should look would be at a local fair or in your local paper - these horses are reknowned for their honesty and willingness to learn.
Good luck

bristol and west show is on next week, thats alot of money for that kind of horse though
The best place to look is the horsie magazines. They usually have plenty of horses for sale. There's always plenty on the internet, just google. If you are considering that amount of money, make sure you get the horse vetted
whats a gypsy coloured cob?if you mean a piebold or skewbold then any horse mag.will have them for sale.the money is enough for you to pick a good one-- happy hunting.
Come September try the Appleby fair there are plenty of coloured cobs there every year, and not all of them are expensive
Try bomb-proof horses in Lincoln. This is their website...can be pricey though.
