Here's a big horse for sale in Ohio (not sure how many miles that would be from you...) and he jumps, drives, etc. Sounds like a neat horse. Here's part of the ad and the link to the ad:
Fable is a Shire/QH. 16.2 hands. He is registered with the Shire sporthorse registry. Broke to ride and drive. He rides english and western. Loads, clips, and ties. No vices. Loves to jump just point him at it. Fable has been fox hunted with the chagrin valley hunt club. He has been used in pony club and 4-H. He is a horse with a great personality that loves to please.

I may have aperfect horse for you!
He is 6 years old, going over Verticals nicely, almost 17 hands. Dark Bay Tb, gets along great with other horses. asking 5000 OBO. He is a great jumper and really enjoys it. Dressage prospect and has the smoothest canter. We are located in VA, so you would need to handle shipping accomidations

* look in your local newspaper in the classifieds and see if anyone in your area is selling their horses
* go to a feed or tack store to check out their bulletin boards....usually people will put up flyers of the horses they are selling
* go to a auction.....but you should bring your trainer or someone well expreinced to help you out in finding a horse there so you dont get ripped off
* go to your local horse rescue or animal rescue to see if their are any adoptable horses.
GOOD LUCK HORSE SHOPPING!!!!

go to touchstoneacres.com
I work there, it's in wv, but they just shipped a sold horse to canada so illinois wouldnt be a problem if you liked any.
Go to Horses for sales list
Click the QH, TB, BWB sales list. I think celso donner would be good...just a suggestion. He just got done with a chiropractic thing because the people who broke him tied his head to the ground and he got problems from that. We're going to start riding him soon, he has jumped before and looks like he'll make a wonderful jumper.
