Does anyone have a horse for sale for under 300, the horse has to be riddable for a beginner and at least 14hh

I live in merrill wisconsin so it will have to be shipped there. Because we do not have a horse trailer. The horse will go to a wonderful home where it will be loved and taken care of. We have 2 other horsese but they are to small for me to ride now , we still are keeping them and the little ones still ride them but we need something bigger. If you have one please email me at silverboy470@yahoo.com Thank you for helping me.Does anyone have a horse for sale for under 300, the horse has to be riddable for a beginner and at least 14hh
I looked for horses near your area on petfinder.com. It is a great site to find all sorts of animals for adoption. I found one horse that might fit your needs. She is 14h, and looks like a quarter horse. Here is her page: http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/disp鈥?/a>

Theres another horse that might be good as well: http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/disp鈥?/a>

Those are just two horses from the site, and there are many others. If you just search on petfinder.com and put in your city, the rescues and horses will pop up.

Good luck and I hope you find a horse!Does anyone have a horse for sale for under 300, the horse has to be riddable for a beginner and at least 14hh
try looking into adopting, might be the best way to go w/your price range. Here is one site http://www.crossedsabers.com/

OR call your local humane Society see if they have taken any horses from someone for neglect.

Good luck to you:) If you need some info on different adoption breeds email me.
as the last poster said u need to look for adoptions but normally the adoptions in my state are around 1000. chances are slim you will find a horse for 300... but good luck

You could also look into leasing a horse. While in college I did this as I had no time to ride or properly care for my horse, but did not want to sell him. I was very picky, but found a wonderful high schooler that was interested in horses, but her parents didn't want to buy her one without some prior experience. Anyhow, turned out to be a great experience and is something you might could look into. Maybe talk to a local tack shop/feed store or maybe even post an add in the paper. I know it's not the same as owning one, but you might could find one to lease in your price range.
You are going to be really hard pressed to find a horse for a beginner at that price. It would be a miracle if you did. In my state you can find horses for adoption for around your price but you have to meet strict requirements. You may be able to find someone that will allow you to make payments for a more expensive horse but then you would have to wait to get the horse and I expect you are wanting to ride this summer.
I agree that adoptions may be your best bet. But usually what I've seen for that price is either a)a horse with a WHOLE lot of issues that need to be dealt with b)only suitable as a companion or pasture ornament or c)coming off the feed lot at an auction. The price of horses usually goes up with time invested, training and history. A well seasoned horse suitable for a beginner is usually going to cost more like $1500...on the cheap end.

But check with local barns...sometimes they are retiring school masters...perfect for a beginner, albeit usually on the stubborn side. But at least they won't take off on you!
I don't have a horse i'm geting one but I like to look on a website you can look by breed, state, price the webite is dreamhorse.com I hope you find a horse you like !!!
