* go to a feed or tack store and look on the bulletin boards and people will have flyers for their horses for sale

* check in your local newspaper classifieds people post their horse's for sale in them

* Go to a auction.....but bring someone expreinced with you so you dont get scammed.

there isnt really a best time of a month to buy a horse.....just look around and if you see one in your price range then go take a look at it. Remember if your not completely sure about a certain horse your looking for then it is not for you! there are plenty of horses in the sea.Good horse for sale sights?
I like go-horse.com, it is new so you don't get lost in a sea of searching for horses. The graphics are great and it is really easy to use. Just my 2 cents! Good luck in your search.

Liverystable.net! http://www.liverystable.net is my favorite horse classifieds website. It also has articles, a horse talk forum, and many other interesting features. You can search for horses in your state and price range. Good luck!
there are many more, but the ones you looked at were the best. you could try horseville.com too. go to google and seach horse classifieds or horse classifieds in ontario. that may help you. look at all the ads too, not just the ones that look fancy. many ads without pictures have horses that are cheaper, and somtimes even better. good luck.
I like Dream Horse.

The best time to buy a horse is probably Spring. It's not too cold, and not too hot, perfect for working with a new horse. Good Luck! :-)
Sites - sight is from the eye, site is a place you view things from or visit, or where something is.

and does the horse need to jump in Ontario, or just jump and be IN Ontario???

There is no best time of the month, although winter is a good time to buy because horses are much cheaper because people sell excess stock so they don't have huge feed bills and extra work, which you don't have during the rest of the year. Christmas is a great time to buy a horse because often people need the money, so sell cheaper than they would do otherwise.
Here you go.

Nice Standardbreds and Thoroughbreds in need of a home and second career.
equine.com is the one i always surf around on
Agdirect is another good site. Right now, the horse market is in the toilet, I would think you should be able to find something decent in your price range. But, you should also balance that against the cost of wintering one. Not sure how your hay situation is there, but here it's miserable. Hay can be found, if you are diligent and look, but it's pricey. If I were looking right now, to be honest, especially since I'm a ';fair weather rider';, I'd hold off. While horses will be more expensive in the spring (or at least they usually are) it may well be offset by saving money by not wintering one.
I think the best time of year to buy a horse is right when people go off to college. Look in tack stores around your area - they should have some for sale signs up! Hope that helps!
horsetopia.com it can help you find a horse
Go to www.familyequine.com and check out ';Domino';
