My friend and I are possibly getting horses. (one for each of us) Does anybody have a horse for sale that would be good for us?
My friend, Alexis, is a beginner rider. She pretty much only knows how to walk and trot. She hasn't had that much experience with horses, and she would need a really calm, willing, responsive horse. I'm guessing a horse in it's mid teens.
I am a bit more experienced. I have leased a horse, taken many lessons, and know how to walk, trot, canter, gallop and jump. I would probably need a slightly energetic horse, one that will give me a little challenge, but is also willing and responsive. I'm guessing somewhere around 10 years old would be good.
We are both 5 foot 6 inches, so the horses should probably be around 15hh. We both are just going to do trail riding; just pleasure. We need horses that we can have a lot of fun on and learn from. Also, Alexis like riding Western better and I like riding English. Oh, and we live in Western MA.
Price: no more than $2,000
Age: maybe (for both) at least 5, and no more than 20
Height: probably around 15hh and higher
Color: doesn't matter
Breed: maybe a Quarter Horse, but doesn't really matter
Sex: mare or gelding
Thanks!!!Does anybody have or know of great horses for sale that would be good for my friend and me?

good luck! also, i am 5'4 and i have a 16.2 hand horse, and i am not at all small on him, i would highly recomend something bigger.
and be sure to go and try any horse you find to make sure you look good on it, you like it and that you will be happy with it. and if you have a professional that you ride with. either bring her with you when you try the horse or film a video then show them so that she can tell you if the horse is suitable for you!
and never buy a horse with out haveing a vet do a pre purchase exam on it, so that you know the horse is sound and does not have any health issues. Does anybody have or know of great horses for sale that would be good for my friend and me?
well I personally am not willing to sell my horse and my barn is in Indiana so you probably wouldn't want to buy a horse all the way out here. But I can give you some websites to check out

I would suggest looking on www.horsetopia.com and entering all of your details into the Advanced Search. It's a great resource for looking for horses for sale.
